Festive market brings Christmas cheer to Mossley

CHRISTMAS really did come early for Mossley’s Town Team as its annual festive market returned.

That means more projects are possible after its Methodist Church was packed out.

The main hall was filled with stalls selling cakes, pies and bread, bags, jewellery, cards and cosmetics.

A café was also popular, with tea, coffee and slices of cake being dished out at a rapid rate.

Team member Chris Lyness told The Correspondent it was ‘wonderful’ to see so many stallholders return to the venue with such a fabulous array of products.

The events hosted by the Town Team help to raise funds which are then used for the betterment of Mossley.

So far, their volunteers have been instrumental in establishing an art trail, heritage walk and the maintenance of planters.
