A YEAR of getting Stalybridge together was celebrated as users joined organisers at its latest event.
An army of volunteers, including members of Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club have worked tirelessly to help people get back in contact with others, particularly on the back of the Covid-19 lockdowns.
And results have been clear for all to see, with new friendships former by those attending the bi-monthly events at Stalybridge’s New Labour Club.
Smiles can be seen on faces, laughter can be heard through the air and a general bonding of a community fragmented by a global pandemic is apparent.
On Friday, September 23, those behind the Stalybridge Getting Together project were able to mark their work by doing what they do best – making sure others had a good time.
And those efforts have been very much appreciated by those who come through the door of the Acres Lane club – a big thing for many who were locked down for weeks on end.
