AN AUDENSHAW pub has paid the ultimate tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by having a mural painted on its wall.
The Queens Arms, on Guide Lane, employed artist Snow Graffiti to adorn the building with an image of Her Majesty.
And with the simple slogan, ‘Thanks for everything, ma’am,’ it is a fitting way of honouring the nation’s longest reigning monarch.
The pub’s licensees got their heads together after The Queen’s passing and came up with a lasting image.
They said: “Thanks for everything your Majesty.
“We wanted to have a permanent tribute to you for all you have done for us.
“Thanks for everything Ma’am, ‘May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.’
Snow Graffiti, ran by Wigan-based Scott Wilcock, painted several murals around the Manchester area to commemorate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
And being asked to do this work in Audenshaw really hit home, with him saying, ‘Honoured to be asked to paint a mural of our Queen at Queens Arms, Audenshaw in remembrance of her service to us all.”
