Tameside Captured: looking through your lens

GO ON, admit it. You have not really known how things are going to be until you have looked out of the window in the morning.

Even then, as we have seen, things can change over the course of the day.

Adi Brookes – STAR IMAGE

But as ever, Correspondent readers have been out, whatever the weather, showing off what Tameside has to offer the eyes.

And, thankfully, there have been more sunny days that rainy ones and the tones and light it can cast was caught perfectly through a series of branches by Adi Brookes in this month’s Star Image.

Rob Hardman and Helen Blanchard also showed how the sun can brighten up any scene while Lesley Hallows photographed how much the area’s animals love it.

Mark Healey’s photo shows even statues can soak up a few rays while Tim Cruz and Kevin Rutter highlighted how sunrise or sunset can produce brilliant opportunities.

Whether it is the conditions or not but heather seems to be out early this year and Paul Woolley caught the purple hue it creates.

And Andrew Matley shows a superb signpost on a trail in Hyde that adds a bit of colour to the scenery, whatever the weather.
