MOSSLEY will show off what it can do as it hosts Music in the Park.
In the region of 750-1,000 people are expected to be at Mossley Park on Saturday, September 24 as talent is showcased at the free event.
The stage will be set up at the top against the embankment, close to the play area and skate park, for the festivities, which are being promoted and part funded by Mossley Town Council.
It is hoped food stalls will stand opposite, with a bar area next to it, with the whole of the “football field” in the upper park as designated as the licensed area.
People will be able to get on site by foot via the path from the lower park and the Old Brow gate.
All vehicle movements on the site will be before 3.30pm and after 10.15pm, unless via prior arrangement and with a “banksman” in attendance.
Mossley Town Council has been looking for someone to operate the bar and other sponsorship will go towards meeting the costs.
As with other events in the area, it is Tameside Council policy that it is being promoted as ‘smoke free.’
A Mossley Town Council spokesman said: “The event is to be promoted as a showcase for emerging and known local talent of different genres.”
