AS the saying goes, ‘That’s more like it,’ when it comes to recent summer weather.
And many of you have been getting out and about and enjoying what Tameside has to offer.
Once again that has meant a great array of photographs to choose from for this month’s Tameside Captured.

In fact, it was difficult to judge this month’s Star Image because there was so much opportunity.
However, Michael Quirk’s photo of a cross against the backdrop of a multi-coloured sky just shaded it.
The early sunrises and late sunsets often see a kaleidoscope of tones cast across the sky, as Ian Clarke, Mark Stones and Kevin Rutter also captured.
The summer weather brings out the best of the borough’s flora and fauna and Jayne Bradbury caught a brilliant contrast on the water.
And animals love the warmth just as much as humans, as Jeanette Astley shows with her fantastic photo of dogs on a scenic walk.
While being on it can also create great photos, as Sarah Elizabeth showed with boats on the canal.
Andrew Matley was once again putting his best foot forward with another of his walks around the area.
And as Lesley Hallows showed, work still goes on even when it is roasting as farmers’ fields need tending to.
