PEOPLE living in Denton street have been forced to do a double take after signs at each end were left spelt differently.
Workmen installed a new nameplate at the end of Greswell Street, close to the Crown Point North shopping centre.
Just one problem, it is spelled Gresswell Street.
Now the replacement sign is going to have to be replaced by the authority that left residents wondering what was going on.
And this one will have Greswell Street on it, as it should.
A Tameside Council spokesperson told The Correspondent: “The sign has a typographical error and will be replaced as soon as possible.”
