  1. This “project” had been thrown out at previous meetings I believe, and rightly so.
In the main because of the excessive cost.
But more importantly because of safety issues.

  2. Cant developers leave a little piece of green area for the wildlife.? The amount of green spaces under threat is increasing.
There is absolutely no need for this bridge.theres adequate roads already.

  3. I strongly object to the proposed bridge! Too costly, not needed as need served already by current pathways . Instead use a few hundred thousand to repair rocher valley bridge which is part of the area history. Environmentally the new bridge uses massive tons of concrete and steel to achieve nothing required.

  4. I think this traffic free route joining Oldham and Tameside is a fantastic idea. It will hopefully encourage more people to leave their car at home. Reducing traffic on the roads, improving individuals health and well being and creating a great family friendly environment for leisure time.

  5. Has this country lost its head entirely? What a waste of money, time, resources and yet more unwarranted and wanton destruction of green space and habitat during an ongoing cost of living crisis, where families/people are struggling, services are being stripped back or lost entirely…’let’s build a bridge’.
The money would be best spent investing in updating and improving the pitiful public transport, we suffer with in this country. We are eons behind the majority of Europe. In most cities and towns throughout place like Amsterdam and Berlin, barely anybody actually owns a car because they do not need them. The public transport in both cities is affordable, reliable, accessible, well organised, clean, frequent and used by the majority of residents and visitors. Instead of following such city’s lead, let’s destroy yet more green space, habitat, ecosystems to stick an excessively expensive bandaid over our failures.
There are plenty of routes already for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. This bridge is nothing but a vanity project.
