A WOMAN killed when a bus collided with her has been named as a Droylsden wife on her way back from a cinema trip with her husband.
Joyce Bacon had been to see Top Gun Maverick on Sunday with Ian but enjoyment turned to tragedy.
For the 60-year-old lost her life when the collision occurred at about 9.25pm in the Piccadilly area of Manchester.

Initial enquiries established a double decker bus had collided with three pedestrians. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Joyce sadly died at the scene.
Ian paid tribute to his wife, saying: “Joyce was a loving mother, sister and wife.
“Joyce was always busy and she loved to take care of people. She was very generous by nature just like her mother. She won over people instantly with her fabulous smile.
“We will all miss her so much, especially me!
“I would like to thank the emergency services who fought to save Joyce and supported all of us who were involved in this terrible incident.
“Those who had the pleasure of meeting Joyce are devastated by our loss and we therefore ask for privacy at this time to allow us to grieve.”
The investigation into the collision is ongoing and officers from Greater Manchester Police’s serious collision investigation unit continue to appeal for any information.
Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with dash or helmet cam footage of the collision or from Piccadilly in the minutes beforehand.
