HAUGHTON Green will look like a bomb site over the next month – a yarn bomb site.
For the area’s craft club is once again showing off what can be done with knitting and crocheting needles.
And this year, it is going on summer holiday.

Debbie Prince, of the craft club, is once again rounding up creations to go on landmarks in Haughton Green to brighten the place up.
And there is one string of targets in mind as she said: “There are nine coverable post boxes in Haughton Green and would be great if we could cover all of these.
“If anyone can make the covers and others can make figures or decorations for them that would be great
“We would love as many as possible to get involved.
“Think ice creams and beach huts, swimming and beaches, sunshine and kite flying, camping and caravanning. The possibilities are endless.”
Last year’s yarn bombing saw the addition of Gloria Gladrags, a teddy bear’s picnic, arms, figures, bunting and all kinds of ornaments.
This year, who knows? Maybe Haughton Green may become shark infested…
