THERE was no shortage of jubilee spirit as more than 100 people gathered at Dukinfield’s Together Centre for its celebration.
Users of the groups that operate at the Birch Lane site gathered, along with representatives from nearby St Mark’s church.
And it is fair to say the turnout left manager Leanne Bold, caretaker Lee Cahill and Cllr Jackie Lane, who helped out with husband Dawson, delighted – if a little tired.
Everyone there enjoyed afternoon teas, sandwiches and cakes, and could even have their photograph taken with The Queen.
There was live entertainment and dancing, as well as a chocolate and bottle tombola, three games of bingo and 12 raffles.
And the event even saw new people attracted to the Together Centre, which hosts an amazing number of groups for all ages.
