LIVINGSTONE Primary pupils were hooping with delight after winning a basketball tournament.
They were one of five schools to take part in the event which was organised by the Mossley and Carrbrook Schools’ Partnership.
It took the format of a round-robin at Mossley Hollins High School with Livingstone winning three and drawing the other of their four matches against other primaries from Mossley.
John Flint, Livingstone’s deputy headteacher, said: “It was the first inter-school event we had taken part in for two years because of the pandemic.
“And for our Year 6 pupils it was their first opportunity to do anything like this.
“We didn’t know what to expect but obviously delighted to win the tournament.”
