LONG days and, thankfully, not a great deal of bad weather means only one thing – more chance to photograph the area’s beauty and scenery.
And many of you have taken full advantage of the opportunity, as this month’s Tameside Captured shows.
Although we are not entirely sure whether the ducks in Kevin Rutter’s Star Image are happy or distinctly unhappy at seeing each other!

The light – and even some of the half-light – can result in brilliant pictures as many of you showed in this month’s selection.
Susan Mason, Samantha Shaw, Lynn White, Jason Bowers and Michael Quirk all showed the difference a little bit of sun can make to the area.
Simon Careless and Andrew Matley highlighted just how the trees, paths and war memorials can look so different when they catch a few rays.
While Mark Buchan Jones used the developing tones of a sunrise behind Hartshead Pike to show the farm in the foreground wonderfully.
