IT is often said the best things come to those who wait and that is definitely the case for LH Homemade.
After establishing itself in Mossley, owner Lauren Higgins decided to move to Melbourne Street in Stalybridge in January.
Nerves were frayed ahead of the switch. What would the current customer base make of the switch? Would it affect the business? Well, it has – in the best way possible.
Lauren said: “We waited for a suitable shop to become available for two years!
“We decided Stalybridge would be an ideal location and couldn’t be happier with the support we have been given from customers and local businesses too.
“The amount of higher footfall we see compared to Mossley is unbelievable. We are fortunate that a lot of our customers from the Mossley shop are coming down to Stalybridge and we have also gained lots of lovely new repeat customers.
“Our Stalybridge shop is much bigger so we have been able to add lots more scents in all of our products and expand our bath and body range.
“I was worried that we could lose our established customer base, but it has been in fact the opposite and we are so thankful for all the support we have been given since we established in 2018.”
Now the decision to move the shop has been justified, Lauren has plans to take LH Homemade – which sells a wide range of homemade products including bath and body products, scented candles, wax melts, room diffusers, room sprays and much more – even further.
She added: “We want to continue to grow our customer base in Stalybridge and the surrounding areas.
“We’ve got lots of new products that we will be releasing in the near future, so we are very excited for that!”
Making something of the warehouse they have in Mossley’s Woodend Mill, where LH Homemade’s products are put together, is also on the agenda.
She told The Correspondent: “Our team of three works hard to ensure we produce only the best products for the shop and to fulfil our online orders.
“Our warehouse is split into three sections, one for wax products, one for bath and body products and we have a dispatch and admin area too.
“We are hoping to showcase our warehouse a little bit more in the coming months and show some behind the scenes pictures and videos, so our customers can have a taster of how their products are made!”
