DUKINFIELD teenager Madison Buxton was a double gold medallist at the WKKC National Karate and Kickboxing Championships at Worksop.
The victories came in the 11-12-years 50kg points sport karate and light continuous kickboxing.
And the successes achieved by the 13-year-old student at Copley Academy, Stalybridge, earned her a place on the England team to compete at the World Championships in Dublin in October.

Madison, who took up the sports at the age of four, is no stranger to success.
She was also a double national champion in 2019, the last time the event was held because of the pandemic.
Madison has competed for England on four previous occasions and has won silver and bronze medals at previous world championships.
And Madison has clearly inherited the kickboxing gene as mother Kelly won world titles in 2017, 18 and 19.
Kelly, who runs Hadfield based Evolution Martial Arts which runs kickboxing and freestyle sport karate for children from the age of three to adults, is also Madison’s coach
She trains six days a week and attends another club in Bolton to get some additional training under the watchful eye of Jamie Goulding and Lee Smith, of Goulding’s Martial Arts.
Evolution Martial Arts have been attending national championships since they started in 2014 and have had participants make it onto the England team at every one held.
