POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a man suffered a leg injury in what is being described as a stabbing incident.
Greater Manchester officers attended Firethorn Drive in Godley after an assault on Saturday evening, with locals telling The Correspondent a blade may have been used.
The force would not confirm whether it was a stabbing or not but did say a man was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 8.25pm on Saturday, April 9, we received a report of an assault on Firethorn Drive, Hyde.
“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a leg injury.
“An investigation is underway.
“Anyone with information should contact police via gmp.police.uk or 101 quoting 2705 09/04/22. Information can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
