A WOMAN who is ‘determined to live life to the full’ received a welcome surprise when four generations of her family gathered for her 80th birthday.
Lorna Ellison has lost two daughters and a third is suffering from terminal cancer.
But her remaining daughter, Debbie, gave her a shock by secretly travelling up from the south of England with two of her grandchildren for a celebration at Hollingworth’s Gun Inn.

However, that almost did not happen after she contracted Covid-19 but recovered just in time!
Lorna is married to Alf, who she met many years ago after his first wife passed away.
Ruth Williams – best friends to Lorna’s daughter Ann, who passed away two years ago because of leukaemia – said: “Despite the constant tragedies in Lorna’s life she is determined to continue to live life to the full and is a well and truly amazing woman.”
