Mottram man set to appear in court for destroying trees

A STALYBRIDGE man will appear in court again in April charged with two counts of cutting down, uprooting or destroying trees.

Mohammed Rahim is alleged to have committed the offences at Hall Drive in Mottram, in contravention of the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation (England)) Regulations 2012.

And he will next appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on April 21 for what is described as a plea and sentence hearing.

Mr Rahim, listed as being of Darnton Road, is alleged to have committed the offences between March 1 and March 14, 2019 and between February 1 and February 2, 2020.
