SOAP stars and one of the world’s top darts players will be taking part in a charity football match at Mossley AFC on Sunday, March 20, kick off 2pm.
The game has been organised by Droylsden-based charity fundraiser Jon Adams for Scoliosis Association UK.
It will feature Jon’s Charity Raffles and Memorabilia Page X1 and Supporting Charities FC.
Four celebrities have confirmed their attendance, Emmerdale actors Joe Warren Plant and Jay Kontzle and Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner as well as darts player Joe Cullen.
Cullen won his first televised darts tournament, the 2022 Masters in January and was ranked 13 going into the recent PDC World Darts Championships.
Jon is hoping it will be a family day out at Emmaus Mossley Seel Park as there will be a DJ, magician, face painting, four children’s characters, crossbar challenge and half time penalty shootout.
Admission will be £5 for adults and £2 for children.
Scoliosis Association UK is close to the heart of Liam Wilding who will be playing for Jon’s charity team as his five-year-old daughter Amelia Rose suffers from the medical condition.
Since forming Jon’s Charity Raffle and Memorabilia Page in March 2020, Jon has raised £49,000 for charities and his Facebook group has 12,000 members.
And he was named fundraiser of the year at the 2021 Ashton Awards.
Jon is happy to help groups with charity fundraising and can be contacted through the group’s Facebook page.
