DOUBLE Paralympic champion Ben Watson will be guest of honour when the Manor Park bonfire and fireworks display returns to Glossop.
Ben, who won gold medals at Tokyo 2020 in the Men’s C3 Time Trial and Men’s Cycling C3 road race, will be accompanied by High Peak Mayor Paul Hardy.
Organised by Glossop Round Table, the event on Saturday, November 6, also features Centre Stage Academy entertaining crowds with fire dancing, light dancing and some trapeze shows.
For adults, there will be a fully stocked bar with local real ales and a selection of beers, wines and ciders.
There is a funfair for young children right through to adults, including a crazy croc ride, roundabouts and a Miami for children.The main part of the evening will feature two fireworks displays: one at 5.45pm for the kids and the main display at 7.15pm.

The event raises around £12,000 for charities and good causes in the area. It promises to be the biggest event in Glossop and fun for all the family.
