DENTON Park Social Bowling Club’s Carnival Shield, back after being cancelled in 2020 through the Covid-19 pandemic, proved a family affair.
Husband and wife Harry and Joan Garratt won through to the final, but they were opponents.
In a tight contest, it was Joan and her bowling partner Leigh Askey who edged home by two points over Harry and Irene Layfield.
