Club scores with centenary retro kits

STALYBRIDGE Celtic have scored with their new retro kits for the 2021-22 season.

It is 100 years since Celtic became founder members of Third Division North as they enjoyed two seasons in the Football League.

The design is a throwback to that historic 1921-22 campaign with the home strip the traditional blue and white while the away colours are royal green and gold.

The new kit

Chairman Rob Gorski said: “It is 100 years since we became founder members of Third Division North and we wanted to mark that event with the kit for this season.

“Not many other clubs at non-league can say they were members of the Football League. It was a proud time for the club, and we are happy to mark that occasion.

“I must say sales have been fabulous and fans have taken to both shirts.

“There has been a wonderful take up, far more than with kit sales in recent years.

“Personally, I think it is fabulous and, more importantly, so do the fans.”

Mr Gorski praised club secretary Andrew Betts and commercial director Stephen Tate for their work in helping create the new kit which has been made by Hope and Glory Sportswear.

Celtic signed a two-year partnership with the sportswear supplier in June.

A new bespoke range of merchandise and training wear is also being produced by the Manchester based brand with details to be announced.

Celtic’s home and away kits are available to purchase now at https://store.hopeandglorysportswear.co.uk/stalybridge-celtic with a limited stock currently on sale. Once sold out, kits will then go on to pre-order sale.
