New broom sweeps in as cleaning boss Angela becomes Rotary president

ASHTON businesswoman Angela Robbins is Tameside Rotary’s new president.

Angela was installed by secretary Cliff Hall and they were joined by Mohammed Karim, Tameside Rotary’s new president elect and public relations and public image chair.

Angela, married to Bruce with two teenage sons, was a member of Tameside Rotary from its inception and has been PR chair.

She is the owner of successful Well Polished Cleaning Agencies across the region including Tameside, Saddleworth, Stockport, Rochdale, Oldham, Prestwich, Middleton and Blackpool.

Angela is a member of the choir, Children’s Society box co-ordinator and sacrastan at Christ Church, Ashton.

Among her hobbies are pilates and fitness classes where she enjoys online lessons, gardening, watching television and horse racing.

Mohammed said: “I am honoured and looking forward to my Rotary year as vice president with president Angela and other team members.”

Cliff has been a Rotarian for 32 years.

Angela added she feels enthusiasm from not only her council but from the whole of the club which gives her great confidence that they can make some great changes for good across Tameside.
