WILLOW Wood is holding its third annual golf day at Ashton on Friday, September 10, led once again by patron and former Lancashire amateur champion Martin Wild.
The cost is £200 for a team of four with a 1pm shotgun start.
Players will be greeted with a hot sandwich and drink before teeing off while there will be a hot buffet afterwards and a presentation ceremony.

Martin said: “I’m delighted to be involved with this fantastic day.
“I have close connections with Willow Wood and can attest to the quality of the care they provide, not only for the patient but for their family too.
“Having first-hand experience of this care, I’m only too pleased to be able to support the hospice in this way.”
Event organiser Laura Marinelli added: “Our first golf day was in 2019 to celebrate our 20th anniversary, but it was so successful that it’s now a fixture in our fundraising calendar and has raised thousands over the last couple of years to support and care for our patients and their families.
“Last year, because of the restrictions, we had to provide every golfer with an artisan ploughman’s meal to take away. However, there will be an evening reception this year with a hot buffet and prize presentation.”
Laura, who thanked Ashton for their support, continued: “There are advertising opportunities on the day with a number of hole sponsorships still available and we can provide signage for this if companies don’t have anything suitable.”
