TO beer or not to beer?
That was the question faced by Tameside Rotary who have cancelled September’s beer festival. The annual weekend-long event, held at Stalybridge Civic Hall, was also called off in 2020 because of the pandemic.
John Moon, Tameside Rotary’s community chair, said: “We faced and overcame a lot of hurdles but sadly in the end the beer festival group had to conclude that September’s event would have to be postponed.”
President Angela Robbins added: “We are very much looking forward to events for the next Rotary year which started on July 1 and have many fun things planned to raise money for great charities and organisations which are in desperate need for money.
“This beer festival maybe rearranged but we certainly will do all we can to make it happen in September 2022.
“Sincere apologies for the disappointment which, in the end, was out of our hands.”
