A NEW art trail is being created in Mossley, featuring the work of celebrated local artist Chris Cyprus.
‘Painting the Town’ aims to develop an open-air gallery, utilising otherwise unused spaces in the town to display uplifting artworks.
The art trail begins with a display of work at the Pennine Medical Centre which has kindly donated space on the front of their surgery wall on Manchester Road.
The project is a joint initiative involving Chris and Mossley Town Team which is keen to see the town develop its legacy of becoming a champion of the arts and a desirable destination for visitors.
Paul Dowthwaite, chair of Mossley Town Team said: “Mossley has put itself firmly on the map as a
creative hub.
“We are proud to celebrate our unique town, and the fact we have so many talented and creative people living here.
“‘Painting the Town’ is a fantastic opportunity to enhance the town visually. Chris’ work is vibrant and uplifting, and the display will be a warm welcome for visitors to Mossley.”
