Party in the Park at Mossley AFC

MOSSLEY AFC celebrated the easing of lockdown restrictions by hosting Party in the Park.

As indoor hospitality remains shut, the Lilywhites moved it outdoors on to the Seel Park pitch.

Fifteen tables were placed on the playing surface and a further eight in the social club’s beer garden so the rule of six could be adhered to.

And the bright sunny day brought out an estimated 120 visitors.

It was the first function Julia Robinson and her partner Daniel Thistleton had put on since they recently took over the running of the social club.

Julia, who is also licensee of The Butchers Arms, said: “It was a brilliant day and as it stayed warn everyone remained until well into the evening.

“It was a relaxing, chilled out day and what made the atmosphere even nice was the number of families attended.”

Julia praised the bar staff admitting table service provided a challenge.

“We were up and down the terracing from the social club to the pitch and the next day everyone felt their legs,” she explained.
