Five in total have been produced by Mossley Civic Society in conjunction with the help of a class from each of the five Mossley primary schools.
While the original intention was to involve pupils in their local heritage, the trail boards include information which is appropriate for all age groups.
“We know newcomers to the area and family groups doing home schooling are enjoying the trails,” said Civic Society treasurer Shirley Howard.
“So, we thought it was worth reminding people they can pick up trails leaflets at Post Offices in top and bottom Mossley as well as Emmaus when it reopens and, of course, via the website
“While there are five separate trails it is perfectly possible to combine them or mix and match.
“Once the Heritage Centre (based in a corner of the Emmaus building at Longlands Mill) is able to open again of course locals and visitors can enjoy finding out even more about their local area.”
