A NEW radio show filled with community stories and exciting projects intermingled with a few rock tunes is coming to the airwaves.
Community Power Hour will be presented by Ashton-based Ethical Education Enterprise every Sunday from 3-4pm on Greater Manchester Rock Radio.
The show, led by presenter James Ward-Mallinson with interviews by Alicia Tichborne, will focus on community groups and projects across Greater Manchester and how listeners can get involved.
Jill Tichborne, CEO of Ethical Education Enterprise, said: “We’re really excited for this opportunity, both for us and the community.
“It’s something that we would never have dreamed of doing and are thrilled to be asked.
“Our aim with Community Power Hour is to give a variety of Greater Manchester residents and groups the platform to promote projects and to speak about work they are proud of.
“Our hope is that all groups can work together to make communities in Greater Manchester stronger and give them a platform to advertise their services.”
Ethical Education Enterprise is a CIC which provides high quality accredited and non-accredited training in the Greater Manchester community.
They strive to provide training to inspire, motivate and educate while removing barriers to learning and working with other local community groups.
GMRR Station manager Tony Charles added: “It’s great to have a full community show and to give Ethical Education Enterprise the opportunity to tell people what they do and give other community groups an outlet.
“It’s also great for the station to broaden our horizons.”
Community Power Hour starts on Sunday, 28 February at 3pm on greatermanchesterrockradio.co.uk and is available online each week
