CANCER Warriors provided a touch of romance in the build-up to Valentine’s Day.
Parklands Properties, a long-standing supporter of the Stalybridge-based charity, donated 200 red roses.
And Dominic Bardsley, from Parklands Properties, accompanied Warriors’ founder Derrick Evans and mascot Lenny The Lion as they distributed roses in the town.
Shoppers on Melbourne Street received a surprise as they were presented with a single red rose, as were female members of staff at local shops.
Then on Saturday (February 13), Warriors will be visiting the homes of cancer patients and those who have recently lost somebody to the disease and each person will be presented with a dozen red roses and a box of Roses chocolates.
“The public are great in the way they support Cancer Warriors through our fund-raising events, and this is our charity giving something back to the local community,” explained Derrick.
Where can I get a copy of this please? My Gran and my friend were visited by Cancer warriors for Valentines Day and would like to get them both a copy.
