A STALYBRIDGE man has been handed a suspended prison sentence for breaching a restraining order.
Dennis Hellawell, 55, of Illingworth Avenue, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was sentenced to eight weeks, suspended for 12 months.
Magistrates opted to suspend the sentence because of the defendant’s willingness to address drug issues, his lack of recent convictions and personal circumstances.
The was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £128 surcharge to fund victim services.
