Hyde nursery helps those in need this Christmas

KIND-HEARTED children and families at ABC Day Nursery Hyde have collected over 130 items for this year’s appeal.

Christmas will be a very difficult time this year for many families in Tameside, particularly those living in poverty. In response to these unprecedented times the Tameside Toy Appeal is needed more than ever.

Nursery manager, Amy Wood, from Gee Cross has helped gather donations from families and children who attend the provision.

“Even though 2020 has been a tough year for so many, it has not stopped families and businesses from wanting to make a contribution to the appeal. And those donations are vital to make sure that so many children across the borough can wake up to lovely new gifts on Christmas morning.

“Toys of all shapes and sizes have been handed over to the “elves” ready to be matched with suitable children. It is truly heart-warming to see the generosity of the community!”
