Pupils treated to a Winter Wonderland experience

BUCKTON Vale Primary School in Carrbrook, Stalybridge was visited by a very special person: Santa!

And jolly old St Nick wasn’t alone. He brought with him some of his hard-working elves and even a few of his reindeers to meet the children.

Students were delighted to have the chance to meet Father Christmas and headteacher Deborah Brown believes his visit lifted everyone’s festive spirits.

She said: “Buckton Vale was so excited to introduce a Winter Wonderland for all the children to meet the reindeers and Santa.

“A huge thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to get the surprise ready for the children – it really did take some preparing.

“A special thank you to Mrs Quinn for the idea in the first place and convincing us all it would be worth it and to the Friends of Buckton Vale for their contribution towards the costs.

“We could not have done it without them. The children were absolutely thrilled to meet the reindeers and Santa. After such a tough few month, it was just the tonic for us all.”
