COVID-19 testing will be available in November at a number of locations throughout Tameside.
It’s vital for anyone who develops covid-19 symptoms to get themselves tested.
- High temperature
- A new, continuous cough,
- A loss of or change in your normal sense of smell or taste
The dates and locations available (open between 10.30am to 3.30pm) are:

| Thursday 12 – Friday 13 November | Active Medlock, Gardenfold Way, Droylsden, Manchester, M43 7XU |
| Saturday 14 – Sunday 15 November | Adventure Longdendale, Manley Grove, Mottram in Longendale, Hyde, SK14 6PJ |
| Wednesday 18 – Friday 20 November | Curzon Ashton, Tameside Stadium, Richmond St, Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9HG |
| Thursday 26 – Friday 28 November | Active Medlock, Gardenfold Way, Droylsden, Manchester, M43 7XU |
| Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 November | Hyde Leisure Pool, Walker Lane, Hyde, SK14 5PL |
A pre-booked appointment will be essential before attending the sites, and these can be booked via the national portal www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by phoning 119. A QR code will be needed on arrival to confirm the appointment.
Queues and waiting times are often shorter in the afternoons, so please consider booking an afternoon appointment
Afternoon appointments are released the same day on the national portal so keep checking if one isn’t immediately available.
These sites are in addition to the semi-permanent testing site at Darnton Road in Ashton which will remain open and available to book every day 8am to 8pm, with on-site car parking. Tests may also be available at the Etihad Stadium.
Testing is key to helping prevent the spread of the virus – it’s simple, safe and confidential.
