Portfolio Home donates kids’ bedding to the Seashell Trust

THROUGH an initiative led by the Seashell Trust, Denton-based home textiles company Portfolio Home has donated an array of products to the charity in Stockport which supports children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK.

The household brand donated about 400 products including bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels to help prepare to welcome new children and young people into the residential homes in September.

Portfolio Home’s managing director Paul Callan said: “We’re very proud to know that our products will make these young people’s lives that little bit better and help them settle into their new homes.

“More than ever, we understand the need to play our role in supporting important causes.

“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many charities have suffered through lack of support from both businesses and people alike as there is simply less money available and a feeling of uncertainty going around.

“So, in this instance, we were delighted to be able to donate what we could to help and putting a smile on a child’s face amidst all this turmoil is simply priceless.”

Dominic Tinner, head of fundraising at Seashell Trust, added: “We would like to express our sincere thanks for the offer of support in providing bedding items to our children and young people at Seashell in residential care.

“For children and young people who require residential care, our thoughtfully designed accommodation offers a highly personalised and specialist environment, fully adapted to meet the complex needs of the children and young people placed with us.

“This kind donation of fun and imaginative bedding will help to brighten up their rooms.”
