Local teams handed home ties in Emirates FA Cup

STALYBRIDGE Celtic and Mossley have been handed home ties in the first qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Hyde United, however, have drawn the short straw as they must travel to Newcastle on Tuesday, September 22 to play West Allotment Celtic from Northern League, division two.

Stalybridge Celtic also play Northern League opponents as division one side Bishop Auckland visit Bower Fold the same night.

Mossley play hosts to Ramsbottom United who are one division higher in the Northern Premier League than the Lilywhites.

Ashton United will take on Scarborough Athletic.

The winners of the 117 ties will each receive £2,250 while the losers get £750.
