TAMESIDE Council is seeking the public’s views to help it update its Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
The SCI sets out how the council will involve the community, stakeholders and other organisations in the planning application process and in the preparation and revision of local planning policy documents. The current SCI was adopted in 2016. Local planning authorities are required to carry out a review every five years.
There is also a need for the SCI to reflect the measures put in place to combat the spread of coronavirus and their implications for planning-related consultations.
Tameside Council welcomes comments on any of the detail included in the updated SCI, including on the techniques and methods of engagement proposed. The draft updated SCI as well as the current SCI can be viewed online at www.tameside.gov.uk/planning/ldf/sci2020
The consultation will last until to Thursday, October 1.
