HYDE United have captured former Oldham Athletic winger Chinedu Uche and midfielder Jack Sherratt from Stafford Rangers.
Uche, once highly rated by Latics, left Boundary Park in the summer of 2019 and took time out from the game.
He is now ready to return and has been with the Tigers from day one of pre-season.
Manager Dave McGurk said: “Straightaway he picked up the way we play in terms of tactics and physical side.
“There are little parts of his game we can work on, It’s not quite worked out for him in his career so hopefully we can give him a platform here and help him move back up the leagues.”
Sherratt had been due to move from Rangers to Buxton but did a U-turn and opted for Hyde instead.
”It’s been a tough one. I spoke to Dave pre-season but made the decision to go to Buxton, but they had about 50 players at the club on trial and it didn’t feel right for me,” he said.
McGurk added: ”Jack can play anywhere in midfield, from the number 10 to either wing and he can even play at left back. He performs well wherever he plays.
“He is someone I didn’t want to lose so we moved quickly to offer him a deal.”
