Tameside Council’s director of population health, Dr Jeanelle de Gruchy, said: “I would strongly urge anyone with covid symptoms to get themselves tested. It’s a fast and simple process and the staff, who are friendly and supportive, will guide you through everything. There’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
“Testing is the key to protecting ourselves and others. If we work together we can stop the virus from spreading. The sooner we do this, the sooner it will be possible to ease restrictions, which is what we all want to achieve.”
