GEE Cross estate agent Annabelle Jardine-Jones is helping local businesses to promote themselves so they are not forgotten during these troubled times when they may have had to close the doors.Annabelle, from Stockport Road based On The Move Property Boutique is holding daily Facebook live chats with small business owners to remind the local community they are still open for business.
They may not be trading as normal but still have great products and services to offer. It is also keeping them in people’s mind for when life returns to normal.
With time on their hands people maybe thinking about a new kitchen, how to home school or that they need to some help with administration for their business when normal trading resumes.
These are just some of the local businesses that have been featured.
Speaking about her Lockdown Lives videos, Annabelle said: “The purpose of the videos it to help keep local businesses in the minds of the public.
“I want to give people who are watching some value, so I ask the business owners to give three top tips for viewers.
“These include must have items in your new kitchen, cleaning tips and how to stay sane when working from home.
“The reaction has been fabulous so far, if any local business is interested in being featured, we are looking for new people to get involved.
Annabelle, who has live chats with 16 local businesses from Hyde, Romiley and Woodley, explained that each has received up to 900 views.
It was through conversations with local businesses that Annabelle hit upon the idea of the Lockdown Lives videos.
On The Move Property Boutique is an independent estate agent with offices in Gee Cross and Romiley.
It is involved in sales and lettings with its core business in Gee Cross, Hyde, Romiley, Woodley, Marple, Glossop and Stalybridge, though it goes beyond those areas.
The business, which was founded by Annabelle from her home in Gee Cross, reached its 10th birthday in March, but a celebration had to be cancelled because of coronavirus.
She explained her business has been hit by the lockdown with viewings and valuations unable to take place.
Annabelle added owners are being increasingly ingenious by holding virtual viewings of their homes.
She explained she has a lot of sales from a busy January and February currently on hold and waiting for the restrictions to ease.
