Getting crafty in Carrbrook

ROSEMARY Maken is out to make a difference and is a true community champion. For she gives up her time each Friday to run a craft club for young people at Carrbrook Community Hub.

It is one of the many events delivered from the hub which benefits the residents of the area.

Rosemary gives up her own time to make Fridays a date not to miss.

Bringing together young people and resourcing materials needed to create craft is something Rosemary feels passionate about and she is driving a service for youngsters lacking in a deprived area.

Cllr Jan Jackson said: “Rosemary is deserved of recognition for all her hard work.

“When the local councillors organise litter picks at Crowswood, she gathers her club members to participate.

“An example of a resident keen to make a difference and she should be applauded.”

The event is held every Friday at the Hub between 4pm and 5pm.
