RUBBLE remained scattered around the scene of a fire that gutted an empty pub in Hyde.About 40 firefighters from across the area – including Hyde, Stockport, Ashton and Gorton – put out the blaze at the Flowery Field.
But brickwork, roof slates and parts of guttering still littered the street days after the incident.
Flames were seen lapping from the roof of the building, which stands on Furnace Street, on Friday, January 31.
However, the unsightly aftermath caused an issue around the area, with the pavement around it still cordoned off.
As would any decision to demolish the structure as it has adjoining properties.
The Flowery Field is thought to have closed in 2018 and no-one is thought to have been injured in the incident.
Fire investigators are conducting enquiries into how the blaze started.
