DENTON darts player Steve Reynolds is feeling double top after his form earned him selection for Lancashire’s county team.The ace, who plays for Haughton Green’s Chapel House in the Audenshaw and Denton 501 League, lined up against Lincolnshire at the St Thomas Club in Wigan on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.
Steve was alongside Jason Longmate of Dukinfield pub The Albion in the Men’s B team for the British Inter County Championship clash and his honour was his second triumph.
For he currently holds the title of knocking off a 501 in the fewest darts, achieving it in 12 against Denton Conservative Club.
Denton Cricket Club is chasing pacesetters Albion at the top of the table and they are dominant on more than your usual board.
For they retained their Manchester Log End Federation Champion of Champions’ title with a 4-2 final victory over Woodheys, Sale.
The champions of nine leagues fought it out in Moston for the £200 prize and it was the Dukinfield League side which prevailed, enjoying group victories against The Horseshoe, Newton Heath, champions of the Failsworth Premier League, and Clarke’s Arms, Hyde, the Denton League title winners.
They then overcame the Union, Eccles, in the semi-final 4-1.
Following their final victory over the Urmston League champions Woodheys, the Albion squad lined up for a photograph.
