WINDSURFERS have scooped more medals as they bid to be named the best in the North West.
Members of (DOAC), known as the Debdale Diamonds, headed to West Kirby to take on other sides in the t15 inter-club competition on Sunday, June 30.
And after winning overall on home waters in the first of four fixtures, they followed it up by coming second to the Wirral-based hosts.
They did, however, take away two silver and two bronze medals.
DOAC, based at Debdale Park on Manchester Road on Denton’s doorstep, is also offering more people the chance to have a go at sailing.
It will be hosting try sailing afternoons which are pencilled in for Saturday, July 20, Saturday, August 17 and Saturday, September 21. However, they could yet change.
Admission is £5 and there is no need to book, you can just turn up on the day. The sessions are open to everyone aged seven-years-old or over.
