THE next round of meetings of Tameside Council’s four strategic neighbourhood forums is about to start and residents are reminded they are welcome to attend.
Named north, south, east and west, they have been designed to correspond with district health and police bodies. North covers Ashton; South is Hyde and Longdendale; East covers Dukinfield, Mossley and Stalybridge; and West is Audenshaw, Denton and Droylsden.
Neighbourhood forums are for strategic matters and items that will feature at the March round of meetings include food strategy, employment initiatives and ageing well.
Members of the public are invited to come to the meetings and to contribute to discussions, but neighbourhood forums are not the place to raise community issues such as lamp-posts, pot-holes, parking or litter. These should be discussed with ward councillors at their surgeries.
Details of councillor surgeries, which take place throughout the year, are available at www.tameside.gov.uk/
