TAMESIDE’S businesses will once again be putting sustainability centre stage as an annual Net Zero Festival returns for a third year.
The event brings together local enterprises, industry experts and community voices to celebrate and accelerate the borough’s journey towards carbon neutrality.

Sponsored by Hyde-based education supplier Findel and supported by Tameside Council and Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub, the free festival promises a mix of practical advice, inspiration and collaboration.
Businesses attending can explore fully-funded sustainability offers, connect with peers, and hear first-hand from those already making strides in the green economy.
The line-up includes talks from the Green Economy Team, World Heat Cylinders, Tameside Youth Council, and Tameside Council’s new Climate Team – who will all share insights on how local action is helping to shape a cleaner, greener future.
It will take place on Friday, December 5, from 9am to 1pm at The Vale on Micklehurst Road in Mossley.
Councillor Laura Boyle, Executive Member for Environmental Services and Neighbourhoods, said: “We’re really looking forward to another Net Zero Festival, hosted by Tameside Means Business.
“These events do a fantastic job of encouraging and supporting local businesses in Tameside to operate as sustainably as possible. As we continue working towards becoming carbon neutral by 2038, initiatives like this play a vital role in promoting a cleaner, greener future for Tameside.”
Places for the festival are free but limited, and can be booked via Eventbrite.
