AN AUDENSHAW girl’s skill is going on display after she won a nationwide competition to design a bowling pin.
Aiza Nayyar came out on top of more than 250 entries to Hollywood Bowl’s contest.
Now the nine-year-old’s creation will take pride of place at the firm’s centre in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Children across the UK were invited to impress judges with a striking music-themed bowling pin design, celebrating the iconic artists and bands who performed across the UK this summer.

And after Aiza’s dazzling entry came out on top, it has now been turned into a ten-pin.
The colourful design shows a piano, guitar, and music notes – all designed to celebrate the various concerts and festivals in the UK over the summer.
Aiza said: “When my mum told me I’d won the Hollywood Bowl pin design competition, I couldn’t believe it, I had to read the email myself!
“I was over the moon. I love bowling and go often with family and friends, so designing a pin was a lot of fun for me.
“My design used my favourite instruments, guitar and piano, along with bright summer colours, flowers, and a sun wearing sunglasses!
“I’m really proud of it.”
Dave Williams, operations director at Hollywood Bowl Group and esteemed judge for the nationwide competition, added: “We received some fantastic entries for our popular design-a-pin competition this year.
“Aiza’s pin stood out for its creativity and vibrant colours.
“We were thoroughly impressed by her design and are thrilled to name Aiza as the winner of this year’s competition!”
