Young Tameside musicians strike the right note with renowned orchestra

MUSIC lovers are in for a treat as young performers from Tameside Music Service team up with the world-renowned Manchester Camerata for two free concerts.

The shows, taking place at Stalybridge Civic Hall on Sunday, October 5, will feature a lively mix of classical favourites and modern pieces performed by the borough’s rising stars alongside professional musicians.

There’s no need to book, people can just turn up and enjoy.

Audiences can choose from two sets, one at 12.30pm and another at 2.30pm.

The collaboration forms part of Manchester Camerata’s “Here We Are” tour, which will see the chamber orchestra take music into all 10 Greater Manchester boroughs.

The idea is to bring high-quality live music out of the concert hall and into the heart of local communities.

For Tameside’s young musicians, it’s a chance to share a stage with one of the UK’s most dynamic orchestras, and for audiences, it’s an opportunity to hear homegrown talent perform at a professional level.

Tameside Music Service works with more than 7,000 young people and adults across the borough, helping them find their rhythm and develop their skills.
