ONE of Tameside’s most popular fundraising events will be returning this autumn.
Tameside Rotary has confirmed plans for the 2026 edition of its Beer Festival.
The two-day festival will take place at Stalybridge’s Victoria Market Hall on September 18 and 19, bringing together beer lovers from across the borough and beyond for a weekend of drinks, entertainment and fundraising.
The event is organised by Tameside Rotary, a group of local volunteers who raise money for community projects and charitable causes through events held throughout the year.
A spokesperson for Tameside Rotary said: “The planning team are assembled and we will be making further announcements in the coming weeks. In the meantime, pencil in the dates and keep checking back with us!”
The Rotary have yet to confirm which charities will benefit from this year’s festival, which follows on from the success of last year’s event.
The 2025 festival attracted around 950 visitors over two days and raised an estimated £9,000 for charity, with proceeds shared between Willow Wood Hospice and The Christie.
Festival-goers enjoyed more than 2,200 draught beers, ciders, lagers and wines, while a packed entertainment programme featured 83 performers from seven local and North West groups.
This year’s festival will be under the presidency of Ashton Hurst councillor Mike Hurst.
