A BOLTON singer who became an overnight social media sensation after a viral performance brought plenty of star quality to Stalybridge.
Sheila Diamond entertained a packed audience at Stanley Square Conservative Club, where members turned out in numbers to see the singer perform following her rise to internet fame.
The 63-year-old captured the attention of hundreds of thousands online after footage of her singing ‘Freed from Desire’ at East Ward Conservative Club in Chorley went viral. The clip has attracted more than 430,000 likes on Instagram and led to appearances on BBC Breakfast and North West Tonight.

Club members were treated to an energetic performance from the singer, affectionately known as “Little Miss Dynamite”, with the evening made even more special for one guest.
Among those enjoying the show was Joan Gomm, who was celebrating her 91st birthday and joined fellow members for the memorable night.
Also in attendance was North West Area Conservative Clubs Advisory Committee Chairman Leon Tamcken, who represents around 130 clubs across the region.

Speaking about Sheila’s rise to prominence, he said: “Sheila, known as Little Miss Dynamite, has propelled to fame and has recently been on BBC Breakfast and North West Tonight. It just shows you age is no barrier”.
Sheila’s story has struck a chord with audiences across the country, proving that talent can find a following at any stage of life.
The successful evening was organised by the team at Stanley Square Conservative Club, with Donna and Rachel thanking everyone who attended the Stanley Street venue and helped make the event a success.
